New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has a moderate high ankle sprain, and it’s “very likely” Eli Manning will start against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday, coach Pat Shurmur said Wednesday.

Jones is in a boot and didn’t practice Wednesday. Shurmur said Jones’ injury is similar to the one that sidelined running back Saquon Barkley for several weeks earlier in the season.

Manning started the first two games before being benched in favor of Jones.

Jones won his first two starts, but the Giants are currently on an eight-game losing streak.
