PS4 exclusive Ghost of Tsushima was initially a single player-only experience, but that changed on Friday. The co-op multiplayer Legends mode is available to download from the PlayStation Store for free.

It includes two-player story missions and four-player survival missions, and developer Sucker Punch said it’ll add a raid in the next few weeks. You can choose between melee combat-focused samurai, ranged hunter, support-based ronin stealthy assassin character classes.

“Legends is an entirely new experience — it’s a separate mode that doesn’t follow Jin or the companions from his journey, but instead focuses on four warriors who have been built up as legends in stories told by the people of Tsushima,” Darren Bridges, senior game designer at developer Sucker Punch, wrote in an August blog post.

For single player gamers, Friday’s update also added a New Game Plus mode that lets you use all your fancy upgraded armor and weapons on a second playthrough. You also get a new horsey friend to ride, a new merchant to get armor dyes and other vanity gear from and fresh options in the game’s excellent photo mode.

If you’re looking to play Ghost of Tsushima on PS5 when Sony’s backward compatible next-gen console launches on Nov. 12, Sucker Punch suggested it’ll be a smoother experience.

“PS5 owners playing with Game Boost will see an extra option to allow frame rates up to 60FPS, and while loading speeds on the PS4 are already great, just wait until you see them on the PS5!” it said in an Oct. 9 tweet.

You’ll also be able to transfer your save from PS4 to PS5, it noted.
