Bill, Ted and their daughters are going on their adventure a week early.

Bill & Ted Face the Music is coming out on Aug. 28, star Alex Winter revealed Thursday, a week ahead of the previously announced release date.

“Great news my excellent friends! @BillandTed3  is moving up a full week to release on August 28!”, he said in a tweet. “On demand and in select theaters in the U.S.!”

The third movie in the series takes place 29 years after 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure — Bill S. Preston Esq. and Ted Theodore Logan are still best buds, and their daughters Billie and Thea have followed in their footsteps.

A behind the scenes featurette also dropped Thursday, and it revealed how Winter and co-star Keanu Reeves‘ chemistry was mirrored by Brigette Lundy-Paine and Samara Weaving, who play their daughters.

Last month, during a Comic-Con at Home panel for the movie, it was revealed that late comedian George Carlin will have a cameo.

The movie was originally meant to come to theaters Aug. 21, but the release date has been shuffled around —  it’s one of many 2020 blockbusters that have suffered delays as theaters contend with the coronavirus pandemic. Unlike many studios, Orion Pictures has opted to release the movie on video-on-demand services and in select theaters.
